I got the job I wanted :-)

While this brief and ever-so-fleeting moment of happiness lasts, I thought I'd share it with you guys. I got the job that I wanted at the public library near my house. It's actually $3,000 more a year than the law firm...fewer benefits (like no 401k), but I think if I invest at least that extra $3,000 (and more, since I have no expenses atm), I should end up even or maybe better in the end. Actually, this job has better vacation (3 weeks to start plus 12 sick/personal days per year) so that's a plus, too.

So I'll be the Head of Reference and Adults Services...which I think will look quite nice on a resume :-)

If you were a building, which would you be? I think I would be the tate modern. It looks pretty plain on the outside, being an old power station, but inside I like to think of it containing at least a few interesting things, even if they are disputable.
